ArvinMeritor, Inc. is a premier global supplier of a broad range of
integrated systems, modules and components to the motor vehicle
industry. The company serves light vehicle, commercial truck, trailer
and specialty original equipment manufacturers and certain aftermarkets
from more than 60 manufacturing facilities globally.
We are currently seeking a Product Engineering Manager in our Chinese
operations to manage the development of new products and sustain
existing products for the commercial truck market as required.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Complete design and development programs for new and existing products;
meeting cost objectives, budget and schedule.
- Lead web/knowledge-based engineering initiatives.
- Develop new test
standards and assist the testing of Commerical Vehicle Systems products
- Provide support and technical value to divisional test programs.
Develop new test standards.
- Complete the development of tests that gauge
products' field performance properly.
- Establish analytical techniques
that foster best practice of design with the expectation that methods
will continuously improve.
- Lead the Engineering organization in
implementation of state-of-the-art web practices, including
communication, collaboration and CAD/CAE capabilities.
- Position manages and functionally oversees direct reports as well as
numerous supplier resources.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering and/or
product/research development from a technical perspective.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in on-highway axle, brake and
driveline
- Minimum of BS degree, advanced degree highly preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills with a record of resolving complex mechanical systems issues.
- Must possess strong project management and presentation skills.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills, facilitating interactions across diverse culture.
- Dynamic simulation and FEA analyses knowledge required.
- International experience is highly desirable.
- Must be bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
